When should I contact my doctor about Tymlos side effect.

I have only been taking Tymlos for 10 days. But I have noticed about 2 hours after the injection and again in another 1 and half to two hours I have to urinate with urgency. I urinate a lot. I have not increased my intake of fluid. Should I be concerned and contact my doctor? Thank you.

Yes, I'm not a doctor but it may be effecting your kidneys.

Tymlos can increase the amount of calcium in your blood, which can cause more frquent urination. You should definitely talk to your doctor. He may need to have you take a blood test to check your levels.

I would not wait to at least register adverse reactions with your doctor. I experienced some very bad reactions to Tymlos which I reported to my doc. He felt that something else - sudden and extremely painful arthritis, GERD to name a few - must be causing my issues. As a result, I spent over nine months in a living hell because my doc couldn’t find my particular reactions in the “list of side effects” from the manufacturer. After my insisting that Tymlos was causing me more harm than good, the doc told me to discontinue the med. Within a few days, the symptoms disappeared. Listen to your body!

May your issues be quickly resolved; hopefully they are temporary or disappear altogether.

Cheers!

It happens to me for about 45 min after injecting bc my heart is beating a bit faster from the Tymlos. Does not mean anything is wrong, just a temporary side effect, everything speeds up including urination.

Yes, since only 2 shots of Tymlos and one day in between to recover, I have very sore joints now too!@beanieone

Oh, I’m sorry to hear that cherraven. For me, the worst pain was at the tops my shoulders about midway between my neck and the outside edge of my shoulder. I had many other issues with Tymlos, but one of the worst was that pain. There was no relief!

More than a few docs and PT’s tried to diagnose and fix my issues. Sadly, I began to believe that I was looking at a future that would mean living with pain. Find a doc who will listen to you and consider your thoughts and ideas. The cure should not be worse than the disease.

Wishing you the best! Cheers!
