When does your hair grow back?

No hair loss with 12 rounds of flofurinox. I went through 15 rounds of radiation. Then my hair fell out in clumps when I started Gem/Abraxine regimen. I went through a few cycles but was getting sicker each time ending up in the hospital or I got pneumonia. I took a couple cycles off and my hair started regrowing! Now I just had a full cycle and my hair is still there. Anyone else experience this? Will it keep growing?

I only did 2 rounds folfirinox. But 6 rounds of Gem/abrax (with no breaks) made my entire body as smooth as a baby's bottom. Haha. I was shocked at how quickly the hair started growing back once I stopped chemo before surgery. If I had to guess, I would say you should expect hair loss again once chemo restarts though.

Recent experience here... 12 rounds of Folfirinox only turned me a little thinner and gray, but 32 rounds of biweekly Gem+Abrax+Cisplatin also left the baby's bottom jealous of me.

After a 3.5 month break, mustache, beard, eyelashes + eyebrows (and what little scalp hair this 61-year old guy had before cancer) + everything else are back and recognizable. I'd say it really turned the corner around the 2-month mark. Shaving my head in the middle of it to celebrate a milestone kind of skewed the scalp result and delayed a full return to normal.

Unfortunately, I go back on the GAC tomorrow. 🙁

I feel like the platin drugs are the hair killers! And maybe abraxane. When I was on gemcitibine alone, hair began growing. When “ox” came off 5FU hair started growing.
Now on RMC 6236 and RMC 9805 trial drugs(targeted) and hair is growing!
