What us the best treatment for carcinoid tumor, not doing anything now

i Have a carcinoid tumor small in the middle of my intestines and is inoperable i am now using diet, Reliv, exercise to keep it small, if it starts to grow quickly what is the best treatment to get rid of it.
My doctor does not want me to use pprt or other treatments calls it overkill and wants me to take shots. what really should i do? I have found in the past that i must search for answers instead of listening to doctors. I am 86 because i am in control of my health and in excellent health am overcoming a triple heart bypass and have been set free to continue as i wish. I play golf once a week, bowl twice and workout at the ymca at least 3 to 5 times a week. will have a scan in October to see if my plan is working.
