I was diagnosed in August of 2021 and I'm 58.

I am 68. You are always too young to have Prostate cancer!

My husband was diagnosed in December 2020 with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. Has tried every treatment available. He's now in Hospice. He was only 67 years old when first diagnosis.

Just completed 5 high dose proton radiation and 1 ElegardADT. Side effects are difficult and may stop ADT after review of results. I am (otherwise healthy) 86 years old.

Honestly I do not like the Lupron. It is what was recommended for treatments. I have had 2 of the 3 month injections. The 2nd injection hit me hard. My muscles are sore. My bones ache. My libido went straight to zero. Testicles are a lot smaller than usual. I do have a little bit of the "Hot Flashes" but not too bad. This is taking it's toll on me. I am very active and hands on. It doesn't take much to run out of energy, and my leg muscles get sore and tired very quickly. Hopefully this all starts to recover after this last shot wears off.

I couldn't agree more with your feelings. I ended the Lupron after one injection that lasted 6 months. It was just too drastic of a life change for me!

I am 68… just diagnosed in July 2022…. 3+4 Gleason… Was hoping to do AS but Decipher “high risk” grade leading to treatment…Going to go the SBRT route but will not allow ADT at this time as PSMA Pet scan confirmed cancer is contained within the prostate…

I was diagnosed in April of 2022. Gleason score 4+3 but cancer metastasized to L2 with 6 active tumors in the prostate. Decided to undergo 31 radiation sessions (3 high dose to the L2 region) and the remaining 28 to the Prostate tumors. Completed radiation therapy Dec. 2, 2023. Had one round of Lupron but had so many side effects decided to stop after the first dose. Recent psa was .03. I feel wondeful and have most of my initial energy back. Just pray each day that this continues but always wonder what the future truly looks like! Just keep fighting the fight and keep a positive attitude.
