What Happens to Your Feet When there is Movement Disorder
My brain is not keeping me balanced for some reason. When I walk I’m very unsteady and sway in all directions. I have used a cane and walker so I don’t bump against walls, etc.
My feet have been really hurting especially the side of the left one. The doctor said I have a torn tendon, and a small broken bone.
He is making me wear a giant boot. I also had to get a lift for my other shoe.
My hip on the “well”side (R) has begun to hurt. The other foot (R) is hurting more.
So, I have both feet, and a hip that are causing pain..
What happens now? A boot for both feet or what?

I don’t see a movement disorder diagnosed? But wearing a boot to protect your tendon and broken bone seems appropriate. If you’re experiencing gait issues with or without an assistive device you may need some PT to help educate yourself on what you may be doing wrong. The addition of a shoe lift in the good foot I’m certain has added another layer of complications to deal with. I presume an orthopedic doctor is prescribing these so ask for a PT consult to help you figure out why this is occurring.
@julese at first I was diagnosed with Ataxia. Now, another Neurologist said it is not. Waiting for the doctors at a Movement clinic to figure out what is wrong and why I have double vision and balance issues. It’s something in my brain because I also have dementia and other things that are neurologically caused so right now I am just waiting.
