What gets you outta bed consistently?
I have been dealing with some struggles mental health being one of them but it's like when I make progress of any kind sometimes it's like my audio hallucinations start acting up it's tiring maybe I need some better meds. I want to make progress but I'm battling more than one thing at the moment. I could reach out to friends but I'm kinda tired. My bed provides warmth and comfort that's one reason why I like to lay in it quite often but if there were other ways to get that I would surely try it.

Go out for a nice breakfast!
Hi
I too find the comfort I need from being either in or on my bed. That's where I am now. It's morning where I live in New York and I don't have to be anywhere or do anything for awhile. So I will just stay here relaxing my body and reading a good book. One other thing that helps me feel secure and safe is being in water. I belong to a health club that has a pool and I get in the water four or five times a week. I don't swim laps. I just do some exercising. This also provides me with just the right amount of socializing I need with people I've gotten to know. people who are willing to talk honestly about their challenges. And people to laugh with. Keep exploring ways to feel comforted. My heart goes out to you.
I feel the same way about being in water. I was going to mention that in a reply to this post and there you were with the exact same suggestion. 😀
Curiosity gets me out of bed. Funny thing about curiosity, the more you use your imagination, the more curious you become. Effort begets energy.
If it is early enough I open the doors to the lanai and listen to the beautiful birds singing in anticepation of another day to live, breath, love and be content in my life.
Reward yourself for every little step!
You can say "good for me!" as a reward-- as long as you mean it. Give yourself real credit for the effort it took you to get up, even if it would seem like nothing to other people. Don't judge your effort by the standards of other people.
When you get up to use the bathroom, try to do one more thing, like brush your teeth- Yea me! I'll try to do one more thing... I will rinse my face off. Yea me! Just keep trying to add one more thing, and treat every one of those "one more things" as the huge accomplishment it is. Yea you!
Good luck! Hugs and peace!
Me, too. My water aerobics class is a godsend. Very therapeutic and meditative for me. Plus, there is a benefit to the socialization aspect. Staying in bed can get you too used to isolating. It is good to get out and smell the roses! (just my opinion).
Sitting in the sunlight can be nice. If I am outdoors I like looking at and listening to birds. A breeze can be nice, especially if you can feel it on your skin.
I bought a Nintendo Switch video game system. You can be social by playing games online with others while you lay in your bed. If you want to meet people, try the MeetUp app. You can join groups or situations in your area that appeal to you. I meet a nice group of people once a week for coffee.
Make a great breakfast or go out to eat with friends.
