What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

1. Waking up alert
2. Surprise early morning lovings with my wife
3. Leaving the windows open for the breeze to come in
4. Taking chances by leaving these comments and being honest (kinda brings me joy but also some anxiety)

Wondering are you talking about radiation from a scan or from a treatment? What could they possibly be treating without a diagnosis?

1 ReactionMeetings with my dear San Francisco book club friends… we’ve been meeting for forty years now. We started out young and now we’re old and fragile but still loving and supportive of one another. We meet via zoom these days…

5 ReactionsVisiting old friends 1000 miles from my home and seeing the children of two women I knew when they were newborn babies. My central friend is the matriarch of the family and these are her grandkids ages 7-15 Wonderful time, and a great sense that life goes on.

6 ReactionsMy brother is stopping over and we are going to play cards. Hoss and pepper. We just got back from eating out and I can't taste hardly anything because of the chemo so I add the Tobasco sauce and it tastes great on my eggs 🍳.

1 Reaction@northoftheborder Barcelona really surprised me with their amazing cycling infrastucture. Lots of bike paths separated by barriers and some bike-only “highways.” I’m not religious but La Sagrada Familia was extremely moving.
