What brought you joy today?

If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:

1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the Cancer Support Group.

I meditated and chatted with facilitator - nothing like a great booster!

Finishing memorising two new pieces on classical guitar: Francisco Tárrega's "Capricho Árabe" and Julián Arcas' "Bolero in Am."

Also, tea. 🫖

Congratulations, North! Two beautiful pieces which appear/soundvery difficultult to master (I watched/listened to them on YouTube). The tea is well deserved!

Wonderful news. It sounds like you might be in the same hospital I was in when I had my surgery…had a beautiful view of the City. It certainly lifted my spirits. Many good wishes to you. You’re on a good path.

It was actually yesterday that my whipple surgeon visited me in my hospital room. She said my surgery went really well and that it had made her week, that the pre-surgery radiation was spot on, minimal scarring and it was very "clean". She told me that I was blessed. I have had no nausea and my NG tube was taken out yesterday, epidural may be removed today. On top of it all, I have a great view of downtown San Francisco from the window in my room. Yes I am blessed with numerous friends and family members who have had me in their prayers. Big smile on my face.

Visiting Puerto Rico, my fathers home, with my wife, daughter, brother and his wife. Seeing things I have not seen in over 60 years. Visited “Crash Boat” (look it up) and so many memories flashed that both tears and smiles filled my eyes. Joy and peace to all. Blessings.
