What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Talking with my grandson when I woke up in the night.
I am trying to find things. I was going to get out by myself, but my husband thinks he has to go. I should be grateful, but I need space. Everything that I suggest for a day trip he finds an excuse .

2 ReactionsLast night we had dinner with friends that we had not seen in over 2 months and then today we ran into some more friends that we had not seen in an even longer period of time at the local DQ! There is nothing that a little ice cream cannot fix !

2 ReactionsYesterday we traveled to Stockholm Wisconsin for their annual Art Show on the banks of Lake Pepin (Mississippi River). Wonderful art, live music, and homemade pie. This year for the first time they had a traveling poet . She carried a basket of cards for you to pick from and each had a poem on it. Mine read, " People, Life is not over!" I,of course started to cry. I told here that I was healing from 2 cancers and cancer free 79 days! In spite of my tears it brought me great joy.

2 ReactionsWow! Nothing better than homegrown tomatoes! When I was a kid, my brother and I had a tomato fight in our backyard with old tomatoes and the next year we had about 100 tomato plants all over the yard. What a delightful unintended consequence! Haha I enjoyed lots of tomato sandwiches for years. Yum!

6 ReactionsToday I discovered that three of my tomato plants are already taller than I am (one is over 7 ft). That's not bad for Canada in mid-July. I've run out of stake to tie them to, though. 🙂

10 ReactionsToday my joy came from watching out the window, 14 turkeys in my back yard. Been living here almost 20 years and is first time seeing them, plenty of others but not the turkeys. Appeared to be 3 moms and 11 young ones. they would walk around then plop down to relax. On and off I watched them for over 3 hours, it was a pretty joyful site to see them. Best to all.
