Weird tingling in cheek
About a week ago I noticed when I brushed my teeth I felt a mild tingling sensation in my left cheek. Now when I rub my tongue on part of my gums I also feel it. When I touch part of my lips I also feel it. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I am seeing a neurologist next week.

Can you share what you find out after your upcoming appointment with a neurologist?
My left cheek has tingling and numbness, and sometimes pain, quite often. They did a CT scan to check for an acoustic neuroma but I cannot do contrast and I could have just done a hearing test rather than the CT, to eliminate that diagnosis.
I have many triggers: loud noise, face mask, migraine, even massage of my upper shoulder blade area. I have lupus and high antibodies for scleroderma but doesn't seem related.
I have had paresthesias for years, since 2001, but the cheek thing is maybe three years now. Honestly I don't worry about it but it needs to be checked. My neuro is kind of a minimalist! My cheek is tingling right now, almost like after novocaine.
Let us know if you get an explanation. I am afraid I just stopped chasing one! The only one I got was possible trigeminal neuralgia but I cannot tolerate baclofen.
