Vagal schwannoma

I saw a neurologist for palinopsia I've been experiencing for a few months now. He ordered a brain MRI and the report came back that there was a thrombus of the left internal jugular vein 15 mm x 8 mm. I followed up with my hematologist since I have CLL and thought it might be related. He ordered two MRIs, one neck and one brain. The neck report said the same as the first report, that it was chronic thrombosis of the left internal jugular vein. The last brain one that was read by a different radiologist said it was a vagal schwannoma 15mm x 18 mm in the carotid sheath between the carotid artery and jugular vein. I was then referred to the vascular surgery dept. for their opinion, but did not get an appt. cause they referred me to the neuro surgery dept. who then referred me to the neuro oncology dept. I finally have an appt. early December. I don't think the findings are related to the palinopsia. But I have read as much as I can find about this type of schwannoma and that it's a challenge to treat cause of a high risk of damaging the nerve. I know it's benign with a small chance of becoming malignant. I don't know if my CLL would increase the odds. I just would like to hear from others who have been diagnosed with a vagal schwannoma and can share their experience and thoughts.
