Use of Glycine and Magnesium Glycinatr

Posted by llanfi @llanfi, 2 days ago

I have sever e PT in my calves and feet, also my hands are beginning to get very red (palms) and numb. I am 85 years old
There is a lot of publicity on YouTube regarding Glycine and its benefits to Seniors.
My doctor recommended magnesium years ago, and I bought some magnesium citrate. It seems to help.
Is there any discussion thread regarding glycine on this forum?
And has anyone benefitted from it?
I took some last night and my feet were much worse. My hands were also very uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well either. Since this was only one dose of 5mg Glycine I don't know whether to drop the dose or stop altogether. The YouTube posts are really encouraging for seniors!
My doctor says that I don't have diabetic neurapathy because I don't have pain when I walk. I have severe spinal stenosis and arthritis but the pain has been is controlled for many years with tramacet and celebrex. I have pregalbin but it doesn't do much. If I take2 50 mg I sleep for eight hours!
Thanks for your attention!!
David

@llanfi Both Hubs and I had sleeping issues. He more than me. We tried a lot of stuff both prescribed and over the counter. We love Mag. Glycinate! That works best and we are both sleeping well. If we wake during the night we take it a second time. Its supposed to calm your, nerves as well. But I have not noticed any improvement in my neuropathy.
