Urostomy equipment question
I use Hollister urostomy pouch 8414 and for overnight I use Bard Urinary Drainage Bag. My supplier Edgepark informs me that the
Urostomy drain tube adapter Hollister 7331 is not covered by Medicare, furthermore they no longer sell it in a box of 10 units, they sell it now individually at $8.65 for one single adapter, which I have to pay for in full.
I know that I can buy the box of 10 on Amazon at a better price than Edgepark but am interested in your experience with this. Does Medicare pay for yours, do you have a different combination of urostomy pouch and overnight bag that maybe does not require the adapter?

My Hollister urostomy pouches come in a box of 10 and include two night bag adaptors in every box.
I have only recently been using Hollister two piece urostomy bags ( 4 months ). They have always come with two adapters for the night bags.
Interesting responses, thank you! The box of 8414 comes with only 1 adapter.
I called Hollister this morning and learned that some other models come with 2 adapters.
Hollister also mentioned another source for supplies called "medicalmonks.com" Their price
for a box of 7331 is close to the price by Amazon which is less than half of the price by Edgepark.
I will try to get hold of someone at Medicare, it baffles me that Medicare pays for the pouch and
pays for the overnight bag but does not pay for the connection without which we cannot use
the pouch and bag - seriously?
I use contacted two piece pouch Each box of ten pouches comes with 2 adapters.
My supplier is medical 180
It should read
