Unresolved tongue bite pain
I bit the tip of my tongue when sneezing well over 2 months ago. I still have a terrible stinging feeling in the area that is constant throughout the day.
I have had my primary care doctor and an oral surgeon look and they don’t see anything wrong.
I don’t know what to do, this is really an unbearable sensation.
Has anyone heard of such an extended problem resulting from a tongue bite? What doctor should I seek for help?

Welcome @swampthing, That sounds like an awful pain to deal with. I have bitten my tongue before but the pain went away after a short time and I didn't actually cause a wound in the tongue when I bit down. While you wait for other members to respond I thought you might like to scan through other discussions and member comments on tongue pain - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/discussions/?search=tongue%20pain. You mentioned you saw an oral surgeon who would be the specialist to see for tongue issues.
Did you have an open sore where you bit the tongue? Have you thought about seeking a second opinion with another ENT specialist?
Thank you for your reply. I will look at the link you provided. There is no open wound. When I followed up with the oral surgeon he thought I should meet with a neurologist in case nerve damage happened. I will also consider an ENT appointment
