Tymlos & weight lifting

Posted by rose1266 @rose1266, Feb 5 2:44pm

I've been on Tymlos for 3 months and it makes me feel tired and lightheaded. Has anyone tried lifting heavy weights to increase bone density? I'm deadlifting my body weight and am hoping to get off Tymlos sooner rather than later.
Thanks.

I was on Tymlos for five months before switching to generic Forteo due to insurance coverage issues. I was more tired on Tymlos than Forteo so switching might be something to discuss with your doctor.

Comparing Tymlos to LIFTMOR: Tymlos increased bone density up to 12.9% while LIFTMOR increased bone density an average of 2.9%.

Why not do both? That is what I am doing - LIFTMOR plus Forteo.

Thank you. I am doing both. How long were you on Tymlos/Forteo until your bone density scan? My doctor would like me to take the meds for a year and then get a scan. She said it takes 3 months for Tymlos to kick in.

I've only had 6 months of anabolic treatment between Tymlos/Forteo. I am not scheduled for a follow up DEXA for 18 months.
