Tymlos pen disposal

I am ready to dispose of the first Tymlos pen. I have the sharps all figured out, with mail back container. I know not to throw the pen into the trash, but I cannot quickly find California’s rules for getting rid of the pen. I wonder if the local pharmacy, which does not provide the Tymlos, would take it.. What do you all do with yours?
