Tymlos is only available via specialty pharmacies, as you can see from @gently 's link.
I've used two different ones: CVS Specialty and Walgreens Speciality, In each case, I downloaded the Tymlos prescription form from the Tymlos Web site, filled in my information and selected the pharmacy (it's a fillable PDF), and gave it to my doctor. He fills in the rest and faxes it to the pharmacy. I then create an account online which I will use to order my monthly pen. https://tymlos.com/pdfs/hcp/resources/specialty-pharmacy-intake-form.pdf
Tymlos is a specialty pharmacy drug. Walgreens Specialty is where I get my Rx filled. It is overnighted to me every month packed in a cooler with freezer packs, as it must stay refrigerated until you begin using it. The closest specialty pharmacy to me is 2 states away. If you are on Medicare Advantage or Original Medicare with a separate Part D plan, check the plans formulary to make sure Tymlos or abaloparatide is listed as a covered drug. If not on Medicare yet, check with your insurer to see how it will be covered. It is a pricey drug, so no surprises. I was able to tell my Dr where I wanted the Rx sent once I found the specialty pharmacy and they did the rest. The pharmacy contacted me to complete the delivery and dispensing and shipping part.
Thank you all for your responses, I was able to go directly to the Hospital that my doctor is affiliated with, they have an onsite specialty pharmacy, and they can ship it monthly overnight at no additional cost to me.

That’s amazing. I had to pay $1086 for the first month. I was told after I pay $2000 for my drugs this year then I won’t have to pay for it for the rest of the year.
May I ask what insurance you have?

I've been on Tymlos for 16 months, and our insurance changed January 1st to not completely cover it. We have to use Optum Specialty Pharmacy (they overnight it packed in ice). They've been helpful when I've had questions, and when I found out we'd have to pay for part of it, they told me to check with Tymlos about a savings card - google it to find the page - I'm still new and can't post a link yet! The savings card covered the balance - I think it was around $200/month.

I am on medicare as well and paid the same amount $1086. once $2000 total for all your meds is paid, you no longer will pay anything for the year. I am also using the specialty pharmacy that is associated with the hospital my Dr is at and this is working great. After the first visit which they educated me on the injection process, they will send monthly.

Thanks but those savings cards are not for people with Medicare or Medicaid
Oh no! Sorry - wish it would help.
