TROCHANTERIC BURSITIS and Gluteal Tendonosis

Posted by alamoso64 @alamoso64, 17 hours ago

I have had Chronic Hip pain since 2009. I am being treated at Veterans hospital for this. I have had multiple therapies, cortisoid injections and been through the gamma of NSAIDS for years.

Recenlty a VA doctor sent me to have an MRI of my right hip. It revealed that I have severe TROCHANTERIC BURSITIS and Gluteal Tendonosis. I can hardly walk without having to sit and take a rest. This has caused me lack of sleep and has worsened my depression. I have asked multiple times to allow me to see a private doctor and have been denied. A VA Orthodepic Specialist revied the MRI and told me that I needed more therapy because there was no surgery for this ailment

I am at my wits end, what can I do ease this pain for awhile?

Maybe trigger point injection, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't help.
