Transitioning from sleeping in recliner to bed

Hi. I am 3 weeks post surgery for bilateral mastectomy and I have expanders. I will have expanders for almost 3 more months. I’m trying to transition back to sleeping in my bed vs a recliner. But - I’m having a hard time getting a good angle that works with my pillows. I’ve seen wedges advertised on Amazon. Does anyone have any hacs or product suggestions that worked for you?

If I’m too flat, the expanders hurt. If I’m too angled, I end up slipping down.

Thanks everyone. And good luck on your own healing journey.

I had DMX to AFC, so no expanders. I did not use a recliner, just the wedge pillow. Once my drains were out, I no longer needed the wedge and was able to start sleeping on my side. I would also slip down. I ended up using the large wedge, 2 bed pillow on one side and 2 on the other. I also had 2 medium squishmallows and 2 very small pillows to place under my armpits. You can find non slip rug anti slip pads and put them under your fitted sheet. It still provides enough "stickiness" to keep you from sliding down. Best of luck to you!
