Has anyone received Tops device instead of spinal fusion (from the trial) If so how has your outcome been?

After being unable to walk more than a block or two or stand for a minute or two without sitting down, an inversion table had me up and walking again within five days. That was 18 months ago and I still use the table about once a week. It's worth a try.

I do have an inversion table. I've used it for this and it feels good while on it but not so much when I get off of it. Maybe I will try again.
Thanks.

Did you have a herniated disk? Or just back pain?

REPLY

I have spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis no herniated disk.

Im looking for neutral info on this device -suggested to me for lumbar spondylisthesis, unstable Grade 1-2
cant find anything. in particular woudl like to know what the recovery time is as will need to plan to recover without family or other support- so checking how long i may need paid help. PReviously an MIS xlif had been planned but that surgeon decided that wasnt the best approach; and another suggested TOPS.

Here’s an article I found about it while looking at the Cleveland clinic. I have degenerative disc disease, spinal canal stenosis, and a completely herniated disc at L4-5 and it was recommended for me

I have had 2 back surgeries in the past few months. My surgery sight is still leaking fluid. Stitches have been out for 3 months.
