Topical CBD for hand pain

Posted by celjoh @celjoh, 6 days ago

Good morning! I have mild osteoarthritis in my hand; it rarely bothers me in terms of day to day activities. Recently, though, my thumb joints have been hurting much more. I play the piano and the pain is making this difficult. What's the current thinking about using topical CBD creams?

I have no idea if this is direction that you want to pursue but I will offer this. My husband has a guitar player for decades. The arthritis had virtually put an end to his player due to the effect in one of his fingers. He recently had a consult with an orthopedic hand specialist. He knew exactly what to do. He gave him an injection of steroids in his finger. That was about 10 days ago and he has no pain and almost complete flexibility now. It may not be for everyone but this is his story. Good luck to you.

I have had a steroid injection in the base of each thumb for pain so severe I couldn't sleep. It definitely calms the pain down. Now I just have a trigger thumb that hurts some but not much on occasion. Try it.
