Took OsteoAlive while on Lupron 18months. DEXA going down. Prolia now

I feel the newer oral calcium products are better than Citracal with D3 old school. DEXA probably going to go down while on Lupron. I'm not sure Prolia's side effects are worth the risk.

4hfarmboy, I'm still on the old school citracal, but would like to know why you suspect the newer products to be better. Calcium can't protect you from the loss of bone on ADT. Estrogen might. Bisphosphonates could help usuall IV zoledronate, more frequent and lower doses than Reclast for cancer patients. Prolia and bisphosphonates re commonly prescribed to slow or prevent metastisis to the bone.
How long on Lupron?

Some people believe that plant-based supplements for bones are more easily absorbed. Seems to make sense to me.
