Titanium sensitivity and second opinions post TKR?

I have 2 questions for the group.

First, has anyone heard of titanium sensitivity? Someone mentioned to me that some people have reactions after their tkr because of an allergic reaction to the titanium.

The second question is has anyone sought a second opinion after the surgery, if the recovery isn't going as planned? A friend suggested it to me and I'm wondering what others experiences may be.
