Anyone have tinnitus related to thyroid cancer treatment and meds?
Anyone have tinnitus after thyroid removal? I remember having it minor before surgery thinking it was from being nervous but now it’s more consistent . Saw an ENT and have no hearing loss so it could go away praying it does

Hi @catealexis,
There are a lot of reason someone might experience Tinnitus.
The other resource which might be helpful: https://www.ata.org/about-tinnitus/
The site is very informative and they have a phone number where you can actually speak to someone with any questions.
You can also find information on Tinnitus from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA); they have several articles about it. https://www.asha.org/practice-portal/clinical-topics/tinnitus-and-hyperacusis/#collapse_2
Understanding Tinnitus might help in case it manifested at the same time as your thyroid issue, but might not be related to it.
I hope you get relief soon!

1 ReactionHad slight ringing in my ears right before surgery very minor . Had full removal in 12/2023 it was gone for a little then returned. Was trying one medication and it was pretty much 90 percent gone then I switched and it got worse now it’s better but noticeable. I got a hearing test perfect hearing . My endo and surgeon said it will most likely go away etc but was wondering if anyone else had this also? Did a certain anything help or is it just a time thing? I am learning this whole life after surgery related to thyroid stuff is allot waiting and time lol thank u
