Thought it was TTR Amyloidosis - can’t find results
My partner was seen at Mayo in 2017 because he was having a lot of issues with nerve pain and numbness in his feet, beyond what is normal for someone who was pre-diabetic at the time. Due to this Mayo did gene testing. Initially it seemed they hadn’t found anything but at the end we believe they had found that he had TTR Amyloidosis. Unfortunately when we requested his medical paperwork through Mayo it appeared we may have misunderstood, since it didn’t mention it.
Is anyone aware of how to reach out to see if someone can look through the full results of the gene test again so we can be really sure. We doubt insurance will cover another gene test.
He’s had lots of ongoing and escalating issues that seem to go beyond what diabetes would do and we’re desperate for help.
