Thiamine Repletion and Supplementation Protocols - Where to Find
Some patients in the long COVID over-arching group report or appear to be experiencing symptoms of a diagnosis of dysautonomia, one of the manifestations of which can be POTS, or postural orthostatic tachydardia and/or hypotension. Dysautonomia has been most extensively studied, in recent years, by the late Derrick Lonsdale (a clinician and researcher), who ultimately published a medical textbook, with Chandler Marrs, outlining the basic science of thiamine metabolism and his findings regarding the use of thiamine repletion or supplementation to treat a wide range of dysautonomias (which he posited included post-viral syndromes like CFS/ME, some forms of asthma and other respiratory disorders, and all the disorders that mirror features of both cardiovascular and neurological Beriberi (long treated, across the globe, via thiamine repletion). In this new post, I want to provide the best leads I have located to background information about thiamine-deficiency-associated diseases and about practical methods for implementing personal thiamine repletion/supplementation protocols. I will make sure, in this post, to advocate that while many patients (including some with long COVID) are self-directing thiamine treatments, there are physicians today who are willing to supervise and trouble-shoot use of this treatment modality. These are largely independent clinicians, rather than the clinicians who specialize in long COVID, though because there is an emerging body of literature addressed to the possibility that the COVID virus directly impairs patients' thiamine metabolism, leaving many with classical symptoms otherwise associated with Beriberi, I project that long-COVID specialists may eventually come on board with thiamine therapy for patients for whom this therapy may be deemed potentially helpful. I will post my two main leads in comments to follow.

Thanks for this heads up to future thiamine therapy posts…though I had been doing the protocol for a month never recorded/ noted how long to try it to see either a response, or non, so that would be useful.
