Testing shows high Cortisol levels. Anyone else had this? Advice?

I recently had a 24 hr urine test that showed high levels of Cortisol and Calcium. I'm looking for advice from anyone else who may have had this. I read elevated cortisol interferes with osteoblast formation and dramatically decreases bone building. It also releases calcium from our bones and teeth.

I haven't heard back from my Dr yet, so don't know what the next step should be. I'm very concerned because my last DEXA was a lot worse than the one done two years prior.

Why did the doc order this? Have you had other s/s of illness? Do you have chronic kidney disease?

My endocrinologist ordered this test because my osteoporosis is getting worse.

ripley, high cortisol causes high urine calcium by preventing calcium from being recycled from the kidneys. Now to find out why your cortisol are high. Do you have other symptoms. It can be the adrenal gland or the pineal gland. Are you on meds for anything else.

My Dr is doing some testing to try and get some answers. I also have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have pretty bad insomnia.
