Terrible head symptoms, making living so hard.

Hello everybody,

I’m Sam. Male, 19, i’m healthy, go to the gym everyday and am a college student. 150lbs 5’11. So for the past month i’ve had these terrible head symptoms that fluctuate in intensity but are mostly 24/7. The symptoms are:
- Constant head pressure in the back of my head and forehead.
- Buring feeling in head
- “Nausea/Poisioned” feeling in head that makes me feel like i’m dying (not from panic, but from how strong and disgusting it feels) feels like a toxic terrible feeling.
- Vertigo 24/7 like i’m on a boat
- Feeling stoned 24/7
- Terrible Depersonalization and derealization
- Numb to everything, no emotions
- Can’t do cognitive functions in school
-Random episodes of extreme lightheadedness. Feels like pre-syncope. I never actually faint. Feel like i’m leaving my body, not like dpdr, like a real scary feeling like im leaving reality. Feels similar to moments i’ve “greened out” on weed and moments ive had an intense nicotine buzz.
- Feeling on edge 24/7
- So hard to think, read, do math etc.
- Feel like my brain is swollen 24/7
-TERRIBLE brain fog literally feels like my brain is filled with cotton.

Those are my symptom. I’m on the brink of dropping out of school because of how hard this is. sometimes when the vertigo and “nausea” feeling are really bad, I have to take melatonin during the day just to escape it and go to sleep. Sleeping is the only time I feel good. When I wake up, I feel good for about 30 mins to an hour before the symptoms come in. They gradually worsen as the day goes on until the end of the day when I feel high on some hard drugs and like i’m gonna die at any second.

I’ve had a brain mri a year ago but i’m debating getting another soon. It is so bad. I’ve always had dpdr and brain fog but after a bad allergic reaction I got an epi shot at the ER that made me feel like I was gonna faint. It felt exactly like those dizzy episodes I get I listed in my symptoms. Then I was fine for a day or two, but then had the worst dizzy episode i’ve ever had that lasted an hour and left me feeling like this the past month.

I’ve had routine blood work that has been clean and got a full heart workup about a year ago and was good. Any ideas?? I don’t even have anxiety about this anymore, i’m just fed up. Please and thank you!!

Please keep looking for help and answers. Make sure you go to a head pain clinic soon. I’ve had similar symptoms my whole life. You are so young Hang in there. There’s help there. Botox has helped. Nerve blocks into back of head have helped. Amitriptyline and cymbalta has helped. Rizatriptan and muscle relaxant have worked. Meditation is crucial especially for a college student. Good sun glasses in sun. Seek out a family dr that understands what you’re telling him until you get to head pain clinic My family dr said you can’t get migraines in back of head ! Yes you can. Inflamed nerve in back of head. He didn’t understand how I felt like getting sick in back of head. I would often throw up …. Head pain clinic got me out of bed and functioning. They started to slowly make things better. Calmed it down.

I’m suffering with some symptoms that a nerve in the back of my head and it hurts all the way through the back of my eye. It is called ON for the occipital nerve. It has cause headaches but more stabbing pain, shocks, and vertigo randomly. I had it non stop and had no idea how to stop it with motion sickness meds.
I see a neurological team, neuro surgeon and neurologist. Have them do a CT stroke study and it will show the blood going through your brain properly. I have a small narrowing that causes pain but not directly related to it. Most of the ON is related to head trauma. Falls, car accidents, gymnastics and falls off swings hitting your back of the head. Not sure if this helps but I would definitely get an eye specialist involved too. They can see any possible issues with your sight that may be part of the problem. Of course diet and exercise do help. No processed food, no dyes, really helps with your system getting detox from the horrible food in the prepared foods. Make your own protein shakes with organic ingredients like almond milk, etc. dairy can even have preservatives in it. It is a daily habit but has made a huge difference in my body and any aches I had. Vitamin supplements again like magnesium, zinc, ginger and turmeric are all natural sources that really reduce swelling and inflammation.
I wish I could give you an answer but it’s a process to figure out triggers. I am waiting for nerve blocks. I’m gotten to a massage therapist for my neck. Make sure you do self care and don’t push yourself with homework. A little bit and take a break. Really try natural foods and prepare organic produce, protein yourself. At least you will know what you’re putting in your body. Hope that helps
Dr Living good has a great book if you want to detoxify your body and start from scratch.
Otherwise look up some ideas from fitness and nutrition experts online.
Good luck, I will be praying for you.

See neuro. Brain and spinal MRI with contrast. Spinal tap. Lyme test including all tick borne diseases. Long term tick diseases all seem to wind up being neurological and or coronary.
