Tenosynovitis

Posted by meri8181 @meri8181, 4 days ago

When I noticed a pain in my wrist and a bubble on top of my hand I went to see my primary Dr then an orthopedic surgeon Dr. both said I had Tenosynovitis , to ice early on, take pain relievers, brace it, use a topical gel and don’t stress the wrist.
It’s been 6 weeks and no better. I can’t take Advil or like due to my heart medication.
I just ordered a better brace. Any other suggestions?

Tenosynovitis or ganglion cyst https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cyst
Your description sound to me more like a ganglion cyst. Either way the remedy is usually rest. I went to a hand surgeon with my ganglion. He drained it several times, though he preferred to remove it. It returns with repetitive use but smaller than the original and not painful. You might try lidocaine patches otc. They help the pain but encourage you to use the joints that need to rest.
