Tendon Debridement Surgery for Semimembranosus Tendinopathy

After an accident I had the MCL and PCL in my right knee replaced in October 2020. Now I have been diagnosed with semimembranosus tendinopathy. The semimembranosus tendon was damaged, and it continues to be painful which is exacerbated when I exercise, including bike riding and walking. I only got this diagnosis in May 2024. At that visit my orthopedic surgeon who did my knee surgery did not have any viable suggestions for treatment and the problem persists. Scarring was evident on the MRI done prior to knee surgery. I plan to schedule another appointment and assume a new MRI will be useful. Maybe he will come up with a recommended treatment since rest has not worked to the pain and allow me to do a moderate amount of exercise.

I will ask him specifically about surgery to remove the scar tissue. Has anyone had any experience related to this issue or knowledge about this?
