Temporarily stopping Abiraterone due to tension headaches.

Hi, I've been getting tension headaches for at least 6 months while I've been in therapy. I've been taking Aber along with Lupron and prednisone since March of last year or so. I had radiation the end of July and started noticing my headaches in August, but that doesn't mean I didn't have them before but didn't pay much attention to them. They can be controlled by OTC medication. I just had a head CT scan and although they found a brain, they didn't find anything extra there like PC. That's a good sign.
I discussed it with my MO and she wants me to get off the Abiraterone for a few weeks to see if that makes any difference and if it does, then start adjusting the medication after that to see what the best dose is.
Has anybody had any experience with sudden stoppage of this drug and should I expect anything?
Has anyone had headaches because of it?
Just living another day in paradise!!
Dave

Never had headaches, had a lot of other problems with Abbie. You can stop Abbie cold no problem, There are no side effects from stopping it. Stopping prednisone is another story, you must taper off of it over a long period of time. If you don’t, you get a significant amount of fatigue.

@jeffmarc thanks Jeff. Typical online info paints many stories, this group is a big help!

I wonder if the headaches are from the abiraterone or the prednisone.
