Requesting status updates for those recovering from total replacement postop one year or more? What is your status? Are you in pain? What kind of pain? Did you develop a lot of scar tissue and did you have it addressed?

Hello @kriscfarmer, I had my right knee replaced at Rochester Mayo in 2019 and the recovery went well. I don't have any knee pain or scar tissue. There are many members with knee replacements that didn't go so well. While you wait for others to respond, you may want to search through all of the discussions on knee replacements to learn what others have shared.

It sounds like you are still having difficulty with your knee replacement. Are you having pain from the scar tissue?

I’ve been to so many places (neurologist, acupuncturist) trying to find relief from this surgery to no avail. I’ve finally resigned myself to the fact that I’m just not a good candidate. First replacement left me in pain for 10 years; Second one now 5. My PCP has even suggested amputation! 🤪 I’m not there yet!! Some days are better than others. I just get so frustrated at not being able to do the things I used to. I have chronic osteoarthritis, so it’s not just my knees that hurt.
