I was almost paralyzed on my right side of my body which I no longer am. However, I am easily short of breath and my left knee is weak. Is there a logical answer to these symtoms?

I had thoracic outlet syndrome surgery on April 8th. I also am having difficulty breathing deeply. I only mention this since you also had surgery on your thoracic area. I can feel the problem is from my right lung which is the side where I had the surgery. I have read that during the surgery, air can get trapped between the skin and the lung whiich can cause discomfort and in rare cases a collapsed lung. Mine is finally starting to improve after 10 weeks. Try some deep breathing exercises and diaphragm breathing. Good luck!

@closer0043 You may want to explore some myofascial release therapy to stretch your tight surgical scar tissue. It may be restricting movement of your ribs and that of course limits how well your lung inflates. It works on a vacuum in that expansion of the ribs creates a negative pressure which gets filled by air rushing in to equalize the volume. I have some tight fascia that tends to affect one side of my rib cage and I work at releasing the tension and see my PT when it’s above my skill level of self stretching.
