Sweating

Posted by lewin @lewin, Aug 27, 2024

I have begun having terrible sweating in heat. My blood sugar was 150 and it began. I assume it is due to damage to nerves but is blood sugar high enough to cause this type of sweating. Believe me if I could get in to see endo I would but waiting months for appointment. No neurological tests for sweat glands available where I live.

Heat doesn’t usually cause me to sweat much….unless I’m exercising. But, low blood sugar will cause me to suddenly sweat pretty profusely. Say….a 60 or below…It doesn’t happen anymore, since I started with Medtronic 780G, but I’ve had it happen plenty over the years.

How often has it happened?

In heat and high humidity--blood sugar not necessarily low. Can
t figure it out. I have pre-diabetex.

It can be confusing because so many of the symptoms of low blood sugar (like sweating) can happen due to other things. When in doubt, test. A simple finger stick can ease your mind.
