Suspicious

How likely is it for the thyroid nodule with Echogenic foci not be Cancer? No other feature characteristics, other than increase in size.

FNA is scheduled.

5to 15% last time I looked. Do you have other descriptors on your little nodule.

Both nodules increased slightly in size over the past year:

Right nodule: grew by ~1 mm in width/depth and ~3 mm in length.
Left nodule: grew by ~1 mm in depth and ~2 mm in length.

The growth is small but measurable, which is why the report notes increase in size and suggests FNA (fine-needle aspiration) if not already done, especially since the left nodule now shows punctate echogenic foci (microcalcifications), which can sometimes be a suspicious feature. 🫣

@pinkshoes
The chance it is benign is definitely higher than being cancerous. It is good to get the biopsy and to regularly monitor the nodule for changes over time with ultrasound.

Do you have any family history with thyroid disorders or cancer?
