Suggestions regarding low dose estrogen/progesterone for osteoarthri
I am a fit 76 year old woman coming off 3 years of Reclast. It prevented further bone loss. The rheumatologist suggested Evenity which I rejected because of heart problems in my family and black box warning. I’m not looking for a diagnosis but am wondering about low dose tri estrogen/progesterone for osteoarthritis. I took naturally compounded triestrogen and progesterone cream from age 47 to 62 and had no problems. I’m looking for anecdotals and products now. I have an appointment with my gynecologist to discuss but am thinking this might help with some of the onset of osteoarthritis and sleep. Since stopping the creams at 62 my sleep has suffered and I don’t like drugs.

Why did you stop Reclast? Would like to know what your ob-gyn says about hormones as I’ve been wondering the same thing.
I took Alendronate for two years and was never told about heart failure which I have. Rheumatologist hauled me in for a Prolia shot without discussing it. Only took one shot and don’t want more of that.
I’m 67 and do not want to take any of the prescriptions but wondering if anyone has e er tried AlgaeCal or any of the other bone health supplements
Sounds like what you’re suggesting is HRT? As a rule doctors will not prescribe HRT unless you’re within 10 years of starting menopause. I believe this is due to cancer risk.
