Suggested Tip (Just the tip… sorry, I couldn’t resist)

When I was in the hospital I had my iPad with me and I literally wrote down every single post-operative question I could think of for when my doctor did his final check up on me the day of discharge.

By the time he got to me I had 25 questions and I warned him that I had 25 things to ask and he was pretty happy I took the time.

Things like if it’s safe for me to life 5 lbs per arm for a while, when should I re-start my tadalafil, how long of walks to take and how often - every single question as they popped into my head.

I was pretty zonked out on dope so my wife jotted down all his answers for me.

Food for thought when you go in.

I’m trying to remember things that were super helpful for me. ❤️

My wife recently had a heart catheterization procedure done. I was present in post-op when the doctor came in to talk with my wife. I could tell that my wife was still a little loopy from the anesthetic, but she was asking good questions. I asked a couple of questions of my own, too.

Afterwards, my wife and I had different recollections of the doctor's comments and responses to our questions. I decided then that if/when we do this again, I will ask the doctor to allow me to record the conversation on my phone so that we can review it later when we're both fully alert and not stressed out.
