Sudoscan
Has anyone taken the Sudoscan test which is supposed to diagnose small fiber neuropathy? Sudoscan is a "quick, non-invasive test that evaluates sweat gland function, reflecting the status of the autonomic nervous system" - quoted from AI overview. How accurate is this vis-a-vis skin biopsy test?

I would not waste my time with the sudoscan because I had multiple scans that did not diagnose my small gainer neuropathy but the skin punch biopsy did. The skin punch biopsy is the gold standard test. Sudoscan tests perspiration/sweating and I also had an ankle brachial test which both missed my idiopathic SFN. A waste of time and money in my experience and opinion.

*fiber, not gainer. 😉
Thanks! Is the skin biopsy a very painful test? How long does it take to recover from the wound?
