Stopping Tymlos, starting Evenity
Tymlos was such a commitment, every day. Plus I had severe heart palpitations, apparently not good to have.
I finally got approved for Evenity, after having to appeal a denial.
I’m hoping it goes well…kinda nervous.
I already have back pain after 4 vertebral fractures in one year.
Just keep moving and exercise! (Advice from my 102 yr old girlfriend)
Warm Wishes

2 ReactionsMy endo plus my DIL who is an endo see very few side affects from Evenity- I’d like to at some point but my insurance co-pay was so high.
I hope that is one I can start after my 2 years of Tymlos. I'm not having any problems with it at all.
I had side effects from most of those bone builders…. EXCEPT evening. It was the easiest one with no problems. However, it didn’t really increase my bone strength. Everyone is different. I’m not going to start on Reclast, too many side effects. I’m checking on bio identical hormone replacement for my bones, even at my old late 70s. Still have hot & cold flashes. 💥❄️.
Walking & exercises are a must as well.
Good luck! I was also on Tymlos before Evenity but only had mild side effects. I was off it for five months in between. The Evenity is going well and I am getting my 8th dose next week. Just a bit of hip and joint pain but tolerable.
@oopsiedaisy
Were you on a bisphosphonate during those five months?
Update, after much consideration and research, I decided against Evenity due to the Cardiac events associated with it. I already have heart issues (nothing serious) however, the risks for a cardiac event is 30%.That’s too high for my liking. So it’s miserable injections every night. Thank you all for your responses.
Warm wishes E
