Solo for Procedure

Posted by lilawillmus @lilawillmus, Jan 7 2:43pm

Hello! A procedure was scheduled at the last minute for tomorrow 1/8. I will be traveling alone due to the short notice. It is light sedation, but they are requiring me to have a responsible adult there.

Is there a service the mayo offers for this?

Hi @lilawillmus, I'm glad you're able to jump into action for tomorrow's appointment. Which Mayo Clinic location are you going to?

Good to know. Here are 2 discussions that can help answer your question:

- Traveling solo for procedures

Given that today is Sunday, you may find it a challenge to get in touch with some of the services outlined in the links above. I recommend calling your hotel to see what services they may have available. I'm also tagging local members like @roch and @csjolundjr to see if they have further tips.

Are you traveling from far away? Will you be staying at a hotel?

@lilawillmus, just popping in to say "hi". I hope you are recovering well.

Hi there. Hope your procedure went well.
I go to Rochester also, and I know the problem of needing a responsible adult after the procedure. How did you resolve the issue? Did you use any of the services mentioned?

Hi! I ended up being able to find a driver at the last minute. I kept these services for future use, though.
