socks used to eliminate pain due to neuropathy

I have spent my entire adult working life on my feet. until recently the pain in the right foot has become a big issue on how my day plays out to the point I remove the sock from that foot. My big question is there any loose fitting sock out there that will help me control sweat, foot odor and not take up all the room in the toe box in the shoe that I currently wear. odor eaters work for a while but don't deal with the perspiration.

Welcome @desilfitter411, Before I developed lymphedema and started wearing compression socks, I found that socks made with bamboo fiber were really comfortable on my feet. I haven't had problems with sweaty feet but I did see an article touting bamboo socks. Lots of different brands available.

I do know that any synthetic fiber, whether for elastic, form or design can really exacerbate and even cause an odor problem in any type of clothing, especially socks where moisture and soil can abound..

Diabetic socks are loose fitting and don't bunch up at the toe.

I wear SmartWool socks…they make thin, thick, cuff, crew…and even living in Florida, there is no sweating…just keeps my feet warm. Warm means less pain for me.

Hi. So I had two strokes during heart surgery in 2022 leaving me with right sided neuropathy (mostly right leg) and a bunch of other irrelevant issues.. I can’t stand closed shoes and couldn’t wear socks because they felt like they were “squeezing “ me and it was painful plus I was wearing holes in the heels within a month. So. I found and tried Bombas socks. I actually really love them. They don’t hurt me and if I wear a hole in them, they replaced them for free. Plus they have an excellent mission. Anyway, hope that helps.

I use compression socks. They hurt going on and coming off but they help me. I can't go more than a day or two without wearing them or I won't be able to walk
