Slowly rising PSA 5.8 years since removal!!
I had my products removed in July 2019. Been slowly rising and I had Clear margins, no SV or LN invasion, last PSA was 0.074 on 2/14/25. Getting another on or about 05/01/25. Not recurrent. But looks like on way, one person said as slow as it is rising in the prostate Bed probably. Idk

Doctors have recently pointed out that only 1/3 of recurring prostate cancer are in the prostate bed. That is, however, where they usually radiate. I know that 3 1/2 years after having surgery I had salvaged radiation and it took 2.5 years to come back and I didn’t take ADT.
Other options
1. When PSA rises but can’t be found in the PSMA Pet scan, do an MRI, it will be found in Retroperitoneum or lung with high frequency
2. Having a metastasis doesn’t mean you can’t be cured. Dr. Scholz has people who’s metastasis were just Zapped, and when some came back, did it again. In some cases people don’t come back, Somethings he stressed a lot. Waiting for the metastasis to show up and zapping it was, in their opinion, more effective than salvage radiation.
I’m not recommending anything, remember I’m not a doctor, I am just pointing out a way of seeing these options.
I’m one of the people that salvage radiation worked on. It would be interesting if other people would pipe in about their experience with salvage radiation.
No Radiation Just Surgery 21 years ago incontinence 100% so had PROACT surgery one week ago today so far working about 99%.
This is really good to hear. The way the ad on the website referred to the product, it sounded like it only worked if you weren’t 100% incontinent.
This sounds much superior to an AUS.
I had Tena best overnight pads and I was going through 6 or more per day and could not stop the urine and today I walked 9100 steps and had a little leaking.
Jeff, I just completed salvage with ADT so too soon to know if it was successful or not.
But even with the suggestions of Dr Scholz, I would do it all over again even if a metastasis shows up somewhere else later. Many salvage cases (about 35%) have failed because only the prostate bed was treated and NOT the lymph nodes. This finding has only come about in the last 2 -3 yrs or so.
If I need SBRT down the line to zap a few (billion) that show up, I’ll do it. Best,
Phil
