Slow motility after Choledochojejunostomy surgery...what to do next?
I had this GI surgery back in late '19. Seemed to help for the first year, then started having periods of constipation that would really affect my quality of life as most of you know. Pain always originated upper R area of the abdomen, and radiates into the back. Each CT scan I have had since the surgery shows stool build up which I can't seem to move through. This caused an abcess to form a year ago which landed me in the hospital even. It just seems like now has become chronic where I go through this period, clear out, repeat. More bad days that good though. Have tried linzess to no avail, amitriptyline, etc. Only relief comes from colonic cleanses, but again the cycle repeats even on a strict diet, and lots of exercise. My nervous system has been affected by this major surgery, plus many ERCP's prior to that. Any thoughts? Has anyone heard of or experienced relief with the implant that helps contract the muscles along the GI tract to keep things moving?
