Sleep difficulty
I had my gallbladder out 6 days ago. I am taking short walks and doing what else I need to do.
I can't sleep. Did anyone have this problem? I am up almost all night.

Yes I had mine out and make sure you take a prescription of cholestyramine 4 grams in 2 oz of water to stop bile acids. Try sleeping on your left side and take magnesium with sleep ez over the counter cherry liquid.

I had my gallbladder removed in 2006. In 2011 I started having diarrhea, There’s nothing physically wrong with my digestive system. My doctor said that I have bile salt diarrhea which can develop after some people have had their gallbladder removed. Some people never have that problem. I need to take a sequestrian medicine to help with bile salt absorption. I take colestipol, it is in pill form, twice daily, which is easier for me to take them the powder cholestyramine. As far as sleep, I am still working on that. Good luck to you and I hope you continue to heal and do well. Take it easy as you just had the surgery and try to avoid any scar tissue buildup.
