Skin rash & swelling of belly

Posted by thierryb1959 @thierryb1959, Jul 22 10:33am

I have a metastatic prostate cancer that moved to the bones which was diagnosed in 04/2024. I am currently traited with 2 hormonal therapies : eligard and darolutamide(nubeqa). As a result I have constant skin rash when something touches my skin(clothes) and my belly has swollen .
Any body knows what to do with the skin rash?
Thank you,
Thierry

I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like something you need to straight to your medical team with: it could be harmless (though irritating), like a rash from excessive sweat in the summer heat combined with hot flushes, or it could be more serious, like an allergic reaction to one of your meds.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

I did get a rash when going through treatment, 3 treatments at that time so not sure what caused the rash, but I called the center and they prescribed a lotion from the pharmacy. Didn't itch but sure didn't look good on my back. Hope this helps. Best to all.

Thank you. I believe it's med related.

Thank you. Do you remember the name of the lotion? My skin looks normal without redness or any signs of external irritation.

Hello "theirryb1959",
I had a similar type reaction to blood thinners (Xarelto and Eliquis) with really bad itching and a rash. Since I was afraid It was or could be the start of anaphylactic trouble I started switching those meds till I got one that's benign.
I didn't need such a reaction from that on top of the PC.
It's always worth a chat to interrogate your doctors for safety.
Keep up the good PC fight!

well, actually the lotion didn't work, l was given some medication. My point in posting was to ask your doctor about it. We are all different in our side effects so I don't want to look up the med and post it. When I had a concern I could call the treatment center and they would help me. I am trying to be helpful. Best to all.

I only took 4 months of Orgovyx that completed 23 January. However, I'm still about 10 lbs. heavier than I should be. It's all belly fat and my stomach often feels uncomfortably full even when I have eaten little. I also noticed a small line of bumps where my shorts run against this protruding 'gut'. I'm seeing a urologist to discuss the slow return of my Testosterone, likely not an option for you. I don't think there is anything else to do about it and I also believe it's entirely related to ADT drugs.

Best wishes!
