Simultaneous abdominal Paraganglioma & Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

Posted by PPGL Patient @parkinsondad, 1 day ago

I have recently been diagnosed with a "biochemically active extra-adrenal catecholamine-secreting PARAGANGLIOMA in the right retrocaval/perihepatic region (behind liver) adjacent to the IVC. "
Along with this, I also had an incidental finding that I have "papillary thyroid carcinoma" (PTC), with symptoms of hyperthyroidism w/low TSH. Both create challenges with BP and heart rate, and thus will need to be managed concurrently, particularly in the surgical pre-op and operating setting. Does anyone have experience with these 2 issues simultaneously?
