Side effects of Ibrance?
I have been on Ibrance for several years. One of the side effects Inseem to have is a sore tongue that gets better on my week off. However I am now having the sore tongue and feelings of irritation in my eyes & nose & throat. It seems to start on the late afternoon. I have changed soap, shampoo etc. now wondering if it’s a medication side effect. I am also on exemestane. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hello @roseann4z I just did a quick search and according to drugs.com this is a known side effect of this drug. Since this seems to be an escalating effect with you, it might be worth a conversation with your doctor.
That is not to say that you might not have a sore tongue and maybe a sore throat from Ibrance and getting hay fever as well, but better safe than sorry.
Do you have any ulcers in your mouth? Other than this how is Ibrance working for you?
Thank you for your help! I don’t have any open sores more like spots that feel sore & look red and are sensitive. They change places & come & go. This has been going on for a while & Inthiught it might be an allergy too but no congestion. I am going to stop the Ibrance a little early & see how I feel. Have appt with the doc in 3 weeks. My kidney & liver numbers are abnormal but stable so nephrologist is okay with it. Fatigue is difficult but my scans have been good on it. Just don’t feel great most of the time though so I guess it’s a trade off.
I have used the magic mouthwash for sores, even when they weren’t ulcerated. It really did help a lot for me.
I am sorry you are not feeling great on the Ibrance, that stinks.
I have found that a little break from the treatments, like an extra week or two can help me to reset a bit and get a little energy and frankly a little more resilience again.
I hope some more folks will chime in here as well, but please keep me posted on how you are feeling.💕
Thank you so much. Your advise has made me feel better. I hope you are doing well too!
