I had pain and limited movement in my rTSR a year of so after being fully healed. It was after a couple of days of hauling around heavy garden pots and hoses. You can still get bursitis and muscle strains that have nothing to do with the replacement. By the time I got in for my Dr appointment several weeks later, my arm had basically healed itself and has been fine since.

1 ReactionYes unfortunately I have. I had a reverse total shoulder in 2019 few years later I described it as locking up in severe pain where I couldn’t move it til it subsided. Was diagnosed with conjoint tendonitis which surgeon said is a rare complication of the RTS surgery. He offered and I took a one time injection into the joint and it helped so much but came back as he predicted. There is a new surgery within the last few years that helps but he hadn’t done it before. My original surgeon had left the military and I was being followed by a new one who sent me to see the surgeon that diagnosed the conjoint tendonitis. He then sent me to another military surgeon whom felt I was good candidate for the new surgery and this would be his first time performing it. Had it in Aug 2025 he released the conjoint tendon and did a second decompression of the distal clavicle. I still am in pt and I can do things I couldn’t do well before. The impingement I was feeling is gone and pain in front shoulder gone where the conjoint issue was is great. I still have some issues with other muscles but I don’t lock up in severe pain anymore. I need to build my strength and endurance up which is what I’m working on with my therapist. I’m hopeful
Don’t know if my experience helps
