@redink51 that sounds like a good question for the provider who prescribed your Jardiance &/or the provider who has recommended discontinuing it. When I took the certification classes to become a trained medication administrator I was taught that it is generally better to start or stop a medication gradually to allow for an easier adjustment. But much depends on the patient, the medication and the condition that is being treated.

I am diabetic type 2, and breast cancer survivor.
I was on Jardiance for few years, switched from Invokana as it dehydrated me too much.
Due to my A1C drop and taking Mounjaro, my endocrinologist said I can stop taking Jardiance. No gradual.
No side effects from withdrawal.
In my situation I have double dehydrated due to cancer treatment medication, Tamoxifen and Jardiance. Happy to say, I feel better with 1 med.
