Dealing with severe inflammation, muscle spasms, feeling of ice cold toes. this issue is also starting to go up the leg. feels like my feet are severely swollen but they are not and warm to the touch but feels very cold to me. I am hypothyroidism, have been off medication for over a year. And my hands are starting to show symptoms. I can barely walk, how am I supposed to go to a doctor s appointment? so painful. please help me.

Hi @ardeliaj, and welcome to Connect. Here is a short "quiz" from Mayo Clinic that outlines possible causes of inflammation: http://mayocl.in/2brGBab. This may provide some insight until you're able to see a doctor. Additionally, @ardeliaj, did you physician recommend that you stop taking your medication?

I'm tagging @jackj, @nanke99 and @brie87144 as I feel they would provide great insight and recommendations. @ardeliaj, to address your question about getting to the doctor - do you have a family member or friend who could take you?

Hi Alyse, thank you for your response. my doctor didn't recommend that I cease my medication. I had been on the meds so long I wasn't seeing any further improvement.
I am able to get a ride but it hurts to walk.
the inflammation came on so sudden. it hurts so bad to stand on my feet. how can I get relief? its getting worse.

@ardeliaj - it sounds like you are in need of urgent care. If you are still experiencing these symptoms, call 911 and get an ambulance to get you to the emergency department.

I don't have much info here. Is this by any chance a peripheral neuropathy problem? If so, have you tried Lyrica or Gabapentin? Or have you been tested for such?
