Seeking Mayo's position on REMS/Echolight
Has anyone been able to get information on their Mayo physician's take of the value or lack thereof of REMS? I'm trying to sort this out.

Hello @delenamc. When you mention REMS for osteoporosis, are you referring to the diagnosis of osteoporosis using radiofrequency echographic multi spectrometry - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC11192661/.
Mayo Clinic uses a few different tools to diagnosis, manage and monitor osteoporosis - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/osteoporosis/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20351974. The above study on REMS is a good read that shows promising data for REMS as an alternative or adjunct screening for monitoring the progression of osteoporosis and possibly fracture prediction. The data is young, however, so it may not be widely available yet.
@delenamc - is REMS a diagnostic tool you have had suggested as an option?
No. I messaged my endo asking for thoughts on the value of getting one in addition to the DEXA and was just told that Mayo doesn't offer it. I'm just wondering if anyone here has had a conversation with their doc about it. I posted a video here the other day that was really interesting and have found some good research articles as well. I'll check out what you posted. Thank you.
